Night Creams are a great investment, they work on your skin while you sleep and you get to see results the next morning. Finding one that suits your skin type and solves your concerns is the tricky part. 😛
Depending on what issues you are facing, from dull skin to acne to anti-ageing, there are many creams in the market from a LOT of brands with targeted solutions.

BUT did this one from PLUM work on my combination to oily, acne / blemish prone skin-type???

The Green Tea Renewed Clarity Night Gel is a light weight, non greasy gel, (like the name suggests) A night cream, specially designed for oily, acne-prone skin. PLUM is an India based brand so I was really excited to check them out and test out their products, in Indian climate and on Indian skin.
It comes in a frosted glass tub, with 50 ml of product in it. And I rarely ever travel with my night creams so the tub works for me. It retails for Rs 575. I got it on sale online for Rs. 430.

It has ingredients like Argan oil, Green tea extracts, Goji berry, liquorice, willow bark and aloe. A list of ingredients that sounded like it was MADE FOR ME and would suit me perfectly. But did it?!

The Green Tea Renewed Clarity Night Gel from PLUM, for me personally, is GAME-CHANGER. It works great for my combination to oily (super oily in the summer) skin. It also worked wonders on my old acne scars and blemishes. (:)
It contains a mix of antioxidants like goji berry, green tea, liquorice and they work great to even out my skin tone. And the BEST part is that the lightweight gel let’s me wake up every morning with a fresh face! (For a change)

This product is also SLS free, Paraben free, DEA free! Parabens are really bad for you in the long-term, parabens have been linked to cancerous growth in the body (AINT NOBODY WANT THAT)
SLS by definition is a detergent! Would you apply surf excel or tide on you face? Of course not! Being a detergent it is in its nature to irritate the skin and eyes. (WE DONT WANT THAT DO WE?) I absolutely LOVE that this product is chemical free! With all the shit our skin goes through this is one less thing my skin needs to deal with!

Initially, it seemed like it’s not doing much for my skin other than just moderating the sebum levels on my face each morning. BUT, give it time.
I have been using this for over a month now and it has actually lighten up, super pigmented blemishes. And has also made some completely disappear!! This night cream has also managed to put a stop to frequent breakouts.

Though, I still do get a bump or two when I eat out a lot, have a super stressful week at work or when I’m PMS’ing from the inside and (raging from the outside haha) BUT those bumps also dry up and shrink down pretty quick. And overall, the amount of bumps and their frequency have also reduced.

I DO agree, this night cream is a little too light weight for the winters but I just add 2-3 drops of coconut oil (BECAUSE COCONUT OIL SOLVES EVERYTHING :P) to increase hydration in colder months.
The Argan oil in the gel, provides adequate moisture to my skin during the summer (which is easily 10 months outta 12 in Bombay), I think its a great oil ratio, so as to not grease up my face.

Over all, it has evened out my skin and I almost never reach out for my foundation anymore.
This product has also significantly brought down the amount of breakouts on my skin. Yes, I still have blemishes, really deep and dark ones. But with continuous usage I’m hoping they will lighten up too!
They have no animal derived or animal sourced ingredients in their products making the entire PLUM range 100% VEGAN so EXTRA brownie points for that!

PRICE– Anywhere between Rs.430 (on sale) to Rs.575 (MRP).

BRAND RANGE– They have a lot of great products from Kohl to body lotions, hand creams etc. Best PART? All products are SLS free, Paraben free, DEA free!

CRUELTY FREE– YAAAAS. Their products are 100% VEGAN!
PROS–

• Light weight/ non sticky. Great for normal to oily skin type.
• Cruelty- free.
• 100% VEGAN.
• 100% Organic.
• Affordable price point.

CONS–

• Limited Stock. Available only online where its sold out MOST of the time. NO store counters where you can test out the product in person and then decide to purchase.
• Argan Oil may clog pores for some skin types.
• May not moisturise the skin enough in winters.
